From PittsburghPenguins.com,
The Pittsburgh Penguins have acquired a 2013 seventh-round draft pick from the Winnipeg Jets in exchange for Eric Tangradi, it was announced by executive vice president and general manager Ray Shero.
Tangradi had been a healthy scratch for eight of the team’s 13 games this season, with a pair of fourth-line appearances following his short-lived time on the second line with Evgeni Malkin and James Neal.
Tangradi, who notched one goal and five points in 45 career games with the Penguins, had trouble adapting to Pittsburgh’s uptempo style and couldn’t find a fit on Bylsma’s roster.
Defensemen Kris Letang and Matt Niskanen were activated from injured reserve Wednesday, and D Dylan Reese was moved back to AHL Wilkes-Barre. Following Tangradi’s trade, the Penguins currently have 22 men on the active roster.
Though one roster spot remains, the team has yet to announce a call-up or any other move.
